Mediocre food with pretty terrible service. The staff obviously didn't care if we ate there or not. No drink refills (you can't even pay extra and get a refill, just absolutely no refills), mediocre burgers, good fries, off-brand ketchup that they are very hesitant to hand out enough packets. The atmosphere is cute, though!

We used to be regular customers back in the 90's. Then you got a huge juicy burger and way to many fries. Now it is a smallish burger, not juicy and a small amount of overdone fries. Maybe this was not their best day, the food was edible.

I hadn’t been to The Giant in about ten years and I even still live in LO. I ended up going twice recently just for nostalgia and it’s as good as I remember it being. The ladies working are always really nice. The food was cooked fresh both times I came in. The prices are pretty average for a restaurant these days but it’s a good price for the quality.

I think that The GIANT'S burgers are tastier than Fuddruckers and Red Robins, which are good, but the difference is...these are made with LOVE, yep...I said it...and I've been to both of the others mentioned. The Giant isn't part of a large chain, it's just a small burger place...with great burgers! They don't stay open late, so check the time before you go.💖

Always a friendly place with personal touch. The burger today was the best I’ve had in a long time. I have been a customer for well over 30 years. The place hasn’t changed much in that time span. That’s a “giant” thing!

Terrific variety of burgers. Great fries and onion rings. Bill and Gail are the owners and are always there. Bill greets people by name and Gail is cooking the burgers. Good prices.

Their onion rings are the real deal and super yummy. Burger was good. Toppings in generous amounts. Ripe, deep red tomatoes. Real cheese not processed. Loved the hamburger bun too. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is that it's a bit spendy. Not a lot of onion rings for $6.Not overall good food and we'll definitely eat there again.

Great burgers. This place is small but as they say good things...Orders came out in a very timely manner and everything was definitely cooked when ordered.Fries and burgers were perfect.

Great family owned specialty burgers, a local legend. Rated one of the two best burger joints in Oregon. Be sure to check out their seasonal fresh fruit milkshakes. Blue cheese burger uses real blue cheese. Real ingredients for real people, don't confuse this with fast food. Don't miss it if you are in the area, and even if you're not, it's worth the drive. There's a reason it's been here for over 20 years!

Lacy always has a smile when she takes my order. The burger and onion rings are the best in Portland. The blackberry shake topped off my meal. I've been eating here for 25 years and never been disappointed.

This was a hangout after high school and the last time I was there was *cough* 20 years ago. I honestly don’t remember what the burgers were like back then, I was young and just happy to be eating out with my own money on my own time. So met some friends and had a burger and a milkshake today, they were really good. We all enjoyed the meal, the kid’s burger was adorable, and the fresh fruit banana shake was hands down the best thing. So for all those people who complain it’s not the same as before, maybe it is and maybe it isn’t. It’s not a steakhouse burger and the people who work there are polite and kind which I prefer to the in-your-face, over -the -top, suck-up, pretend friendly. It’s an honest, get-what-you- paid-for, cash only, quick bite yum. Nostalgia has a way of coloring your memory and this burger, fries, and shake are great on their own merit right now.

I was starving, and still didn’t finish the burger. Not because it was too big, but because the meat tasted like gray bland mystery meat. I think the only demographic who wouldn’t notice are heavy smoker and crusty old folks. The fries were sub-par but edible. The fresh banana milkshake was great. Because of the burger I would never come here again.What was on point though, was the customer service. I couldn’t decide if I should give two stars for the food, or four for the customer service so I landed in the middle. Before I ate a bite, it was five stars though. Just sad that these old folk don’t seem to acknowledge these reviews... change your recipe, throw some seasoning on. This place has everything but the burgers going for it.

Mainly no seasoning on the hamburgers, bacon wasn't cook through so fat was rubbery AND Cajun fries lacked seasoning (was told by the staff that there was seasoning when they were fried!). Apprantly it came off between the kitchen and our table? Won't go back 🤚

Long wait, food not as good as it used to be, way too expensive, and the people weren't very friendly.Nice matters!

This place needs to update everything or I fear it'll be lost in the past. It's cash only, they don't accept phone orders for a quick pick up, there's no vegan or gluten free options, the decor is dated, the food is just dime a dozen frozen patties with grey mystery meat, and the owners don't seem to even care. I doubt they read the reviews and just run on nostalgia. This is Lake Oswego in 2019, get with the times.

First time here had the Giant Burger, because that's what they're known for. It was very tasty their rootbeer is the bomb. We will visit again

That good old school burger on a sesame seed bun. It's a great product, served by great owners. Definitely worth trying.

Not my kind of burger joint. Everyone else seemed to love it! Atmosphere was kind and inviting, classic 60s dinner feel. They even had feet around the building to show the restroom location. Service was great! Quick food with accommodating stafff.I had the bacon cheeseburger, and this was just not my kind of burger. I would eat again, but, its not my jam.

Just not very good. Cheap meat. Thought it would be old style and delicious. Place is just old trying to dave pennies putting out inferior cheap product. Servive was good. Wont be back. Sorry

Used to come here weekly with my friends in the late 90s and back then it was really good. Even the teriyaki burgers! I went today and the flavor is missing. I wonder what changed since the good I'll days? Oh well. Still better than fast food though.

Vintage atmosphere, old school burger joint. Don't expect healthy, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free here... It's not happening! Burger was pretty good, very fattening and filling! No refills on drinks so drink sparingly or go large to wash down all that salt!

A cute and quirky burger joint, with friendly and attentive hosts. The dining area is adorned with cheesy holographic pictures (the ones you tried to get your parents to buy you in grade school) and other tacky wall fixtures. However this all contributes to a fun and unique dining experience. Unfortunately the burgers were not quite as charming. The topping were fresh enough, however the burger itself was uninspired. Reminded me of the frozen patties served at my highschool cafeteria, a bit of a slog.

I have not been to Giant Burger in quite a while, I was craving a good hamburger from a local hamburger restaurant. I ordered a double Burger with cheese, it was promptly made and delivered to me in a to go bag. When I opened the bag and looked at the hamburger it looked delicious BUT looks are deceiving. After I took my 1st bite my 1st reaction was that they are serving frozen meat. The meat was watery, spongy and flavorless except for I hint of char flavor from the grill. This reminded me of the frozen hamburger patty samples we would get at Costco I was hoping that my 1st bite was just a fluke but the 2nd and continuous bites or the same, very bland Thank God there was flavor in the onion, lettuce, mayonnaise and hamburger bun. Too bad, I really wanted to enjoy a good local hamburger but unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant
